He will always be one of my coolest shows. This badass septuagenarian playing three encores and skipping on and off the stage for each one. I'll never forget it.
Anybody heard Sincerly L. Cohen: A Live Celebration of Leonard Cohen? Some really good stuff on there. Especially love Josh Ritters cover of Chelsea Hotel. Delicate Steve's guitar cover of Hallelujah is also beautiful.
The above reminded me that Hallelujah is a Leonard Cohen song and not a Jeff Buckley song. Wild. I still haven't heard his latest as like a fan of him. I was in the process of getting into him when he died and it's just. Weird that I could consume his last piece of art made when he was that close. Idk. It doesn't make sense, but it's just a feeling. I haven't listened to Bowie's Blackstar for a similar "reason"
New Leonard Cohen Album Thanks for the Dance Announced: Listen to “The Goal” "Leonard’s son, Adam Cohen, produced and masterminded the project, enlisting a huge cast of musicians including Damien Rice and Leslie Feist (vocals), Arcade Fire bassist Richard Reed Parry, the National’s Bryce Dessner on guitar, Dustin O’Halloran on piano, and Leonard’s bandmate Javier Mas playing the man’s own guitar." ....i'm salivating
