Leiah Band

Leiah is back! Check this band out, you will probably fall in love with them. They just released their first song in 20 years. Entire discography is up on spotify, apple, bandcamp etc. Some info abot the band and new release;

"Leiah have toured Europe 10 times with bands like The Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music, As Friends Rust and Grade. Some friends have been made along the way, and some places have been visited more than once. The birth and starting point of Leiah was in mid 1998, four restless youngsters felt that they had have their share of playing hardcore for ill-advised local punks. They decided to do something that could reach people on a more sincere basis. A record label was contacted and the first sign of life was entitled ”Mood Shifting Tones”, released on the Belgian label Genet Records. With that record Leiah got a chance to play shows for The Get Up Kids and Hot Water Music. The follow up and first full-length record was named ”The Tigra Songs” (Genet Records, 2000). ”The Tigra Songs” was followed by a couple of European tours and it was the starting point of Leiah as a hard working touring band! When Ann-Sofie left the band Leiah decided to record their new record with only three members."


"This Friday is a special one for us because today we release our brand new single Surrender!
One year ago this would have been unthinkable but as we all know, time moves in mysterious ways.

We think Surrender encapsulate all the things that makes us sound like Leiah. When we entered studio Space lounge back in May we just wanted to record like we did 16 years ago. No fuzz, just do it.

I've heard more songs are coming, maybe even an album!

 

according to their recent facebook posts, it seems like there's an album in the works. it might even be done at this point.

the last line of the song where David kinda screams it, oh mannnnn so cool!

(now we just need a new Ariel Kill Him album and US tour, pleeeease. i'd lose my mind hearing some of those AKH songs live)
