Love that Batman set. It’s so detailed and has so many cool references. Also the built in wall mounts are great for display.

Not a fan of “The Shire” set. It’s such a let down to me after the last two and doesn’t even look that good (and the side builds are meh which doesn’t help the overall look or feel). Will pick up during a sale or double points period. Good thing is usually sets live for at least two years so no immediate rush to buy it especially when other sets coming soon have my interest more

The $1000 death star leaked. Baffling it’s going to be $1K for what it contains

Yeah, there are a lot of puzzling choices. Was never gonna be something I got as I’m just a casual Star Wars fan but legit feel bad for people who were excited and saving for the last 10+ months that are disappointed by the final product. It’s a goddamn cheese wheel which a bunch of empty space and smaller versions of existing sets. Insane stuff and to be a fly on the wall during the design stages of this.

Should have made them modulars that combine into a larger one. Would have been an easier sell and the expectation wouldn’t have been where it is.

The black pearl set is pretty sweet, but I think I'm going to hold out on buying another set until I buy Barad-dur

Some info on the first wave of Pokémon sets has come out. 3 sets release in March and the prices are $60, $200 and $650.

That set that’s $650 is immediately one of the most expensive sets they’ve released and it’s in the first wave of doing Pokémon sets lol.

quick search/ find has the Pokémon set almost certainly in the top 10 most expensive sets:
    Death (Slice) Star $999
    Millennium Falcon $850
    AT-AT $850
    Technic crane $700
    Titanic $680
    Venator $650
    Pokémon set $650
    Eiffel Tower $630

I wonder what it could feature to be that expensive. A Pokemon gym or Pokemon center wouldn’t be nearly complex enough to warrant all of those pieces.

Watch them make a giant poke ball with scenes inside that’s actually spherical after not doing that for the $1000 Death Star.
