Aside from the horrid pronunciation of some the key words associated with the set, very interesting points about vague instructions and so many left over pieces
There are too many events and locations with very similar names for me to remember but from what I’ve read, anything actually associated with Lego is great even if it’s just a passing interest that you as a parent have in Lego. Seems like the general consensus “negative” is that there are a lot of mocs and one-offs that aren’t actually sets you can buy so if you or your kid really like something it may not actually be something you can purchase (or even get building instructions for). Things like “Brickfest” or anything that isn’t sponsored or hosted by Lego in some capacity seems to be very hit or miss and seems like most of those kinds of things miss.
Apparently the LOTR set for 2025 will be the shire. Instant purchase if true (and they don't screw it up)
Rumor has it the first $1,000 USD set will be the UCS Death Star in/around October 2025 and of course everyone is losing their shit about it
Looks great! Hoping to scoop one of those at some point. One of the most beautiful builds I've seen in a long time.
Only downside of the Rivendell set is that eventually you run out of pieces and finish the build. Easily my favorite set and best build.
Have you built the Barad-dur set that came out in 2024? Very enjoyable and great but didn’t top Rivendell for me. Excited for the next sets.
I haven’t. I’m not sure if I will. One of the main selling points for Rivendell for me was the mini figures of all of the fellowship. The only minifigure I’d want from Barad-dur is Sauron. Maybe if I ever see it cheaper than $450 which is likely never.
