Pretty much what I assumed is going on as well, and I'm also avoiding Reddit after they predicted (spoiled) Mr Robot S2
This was easily the best episode of the show ever. So inventive, so brilliant. The dialogue-free segment was just mesmerizing. The way this show uses visuals and music together might be the most mind-blowing thing about it. And Aubrey Plaza is just ridiculously good. Re: the identity of the Devil With Yellow Eyes - I'm glad they went with the Shadow King as the villain. It was so very clearly him based on everything we knew so far, but with Hawley one never really knows what to expect so getting confirmation was good. Shadow King is a great X-Men villain to utilize in this world, because of how well his backstory dovetails with the David's newfound understanding of his own true backstory, but also because of the nature of his abilities and how that makes him uniquely threatening to David. And that final ending shot. Holy shit. Every choice that has been made with this show thus far has been a great one. Can't wait to see how this season wraps up next week.
*Patrick Stewart voice* "Sweetheart, I won. It's over." Man, what an episode. Aubrey Plaza rocking the Beetlejuice look.
Aubrey looked like Matty from the 1975 in this episode haha Yeah, this was nuts. Walters death was fucking wild My only concern is this show turning into a typical superhero show after David learns to use his power. I like going into his unreliable memories and stuff the most
Just gonna echo everyone's thoughts, and say that last episode was incredible. Also I'm so glad they casted the dude from Flight of the Concords in this. He's the best.
This show is so well paced for how wild it is. Each episode is balanced yet ups the ante every week. It's so confidently brilliant.
Yea, but I don't think they were expecting David to stop the bullets. Lenny disrupted olivers spell, and David happened to come to at the right time with the help of the halo and himself. It was all sort of synchronistic. So yea, David caught the bullets, but it wasn't part of melanie/olivers plan. At least that's what I got out of it.
Watched the premiere but never had time to keep up with it. I just found it on Hulu, and it's Spring Break for me. What a perfect combination.
