    Follow up to Winter's Bone

Will (Ben Foster) and his teenage daughter, Tom (Harcourt McKenzie), have lived off the grid for years in the forests of Portland, Oregon. When their idyllic life is shattered, both are put into social services. After clashing with their new surroundings, Will and Tom set off on a harrowing journey back to their wild homeland.

    This was great
I loved that it wasn't concerned with backstory or judgment and trusted the audience to figure out who these characters are
hopefully we don't have to wait 8 years for the next one

Wow, I loved this. The ”I know you’d stay if you could.” reminds me so much of the ”I can’t beat it.” from Manchester.[\spoiler]

This nor Eighth Grade is showing near me so I think I'm just going to go see Skyscraper and say "boo!" the entire time to protest great movies getting limited releases.

Well it turns out there's a few showings for Leave No Trace in my hometown now, so it looks like someone already stole my plan.

Holy cow. I had this exact same thought.

This movie hurt. It was great, but man I didn’t expect it to hurt that much. Ending was beautiful but I really had to wrestle with it. Both performances were unbelievably good.

I just keep thinking if he had someone that wasn’t a robot asking him questions he’d have stayed. It really says a lot about the system not being able to do much to help people with PTSD and it breaks my heart. I can’t stop thinking about it.

I’d only seen him in Hell or High Water, but the performance blew me away so much I was so psyched to see him in this.

This is great. Everyone see it. Ben Foster is a treasure and Thomasin McKenzie’s performance is so natural.

Thomasin pretty much stole the movie. She was amazing, you can't help but feel for her so much throughout. This movies definitely gonna linger in my thoughts for some time now.

this destroyed me on every front.
I really wish Will would have taken the dog with him.

  19. For all the movies he's been in, Ben Foster is still one of Hollywood's best kept secrets.
