Lawn Mowing & Music Thread

This thread is for two things: mowing the lawn the talking about what we're listening to while mowing the lawn.

Today, I listened to Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

 

I mowed the lawn on Wednesday and listen to relationship of command by the band at the drive-in.

 

Looking forward to my first mow of the season this week. Might go with some Neil Young? Maybe Built to Spill? Maybe that new Colin Miller album?

 

I like listening to albums I really know because I can’t hear as good cause of the lawn mower so I don’t like checking out new stuff.

 

Got my new Airpods they work like a charm. I am reading Trouble Boys so I’ll probably listen to the Replacements.

which ones? I have an older pair and the lawn mower still drowns a lot out.

 

I had an older pair that were great but eventually got that weird fuzz in them. I just upgraded to whatever the newest model is. 2 Pro maybe. I also use an electric mower so maybe it isn’t as loud?

 

ahh it’s probably cause it’s the pro model, I don’t like how those fit in my ears. I use an electric mower too.

This was a good choice, btw. Been on a big metal kick lately.

 

If I can’t make up my mind I either go with Nirvana or The Replacements.

 

Those are great picks. Shuffling a discography I know well is always a good movie.

I mentioned metal music and it typically is something heavy for me, but I will occasionally go totally left-field and throw on a pop album instead. GUTS got a lot of play from me last summer.

If I had a house with a yard I would not mow it but I would lie in the overgrowth and listen to music while bugs and squirrels and bunnies and mice chilled with me
