“I started out writing Semper Femina as if a man was writing about a woman,” Marling said in a press release. “And then I thought it’s not a man, it’s me — I don’t need to pretend it’s a man to justify the intimacy of the way I’m looking and feeling about women. It’s me looking specifically at women and feeling great empathy towards them and by proxy towards myself.”

Laura Marling has a new project called LUMP. New song sounds pretty good.

 

Really enjoying the LUMP record. "May I Be the Light" is great.

 

This album is really really good

 

Yeah I’ve been really enjoying it too. It’s nice to hear her kind of change her sound up a bit with this project too.

 

Love the new album. Went into it with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised by every song.

 

Been listening to I Speak Because I Can quite a bit this week. Such a great album.
