This is incredible so far

 

This is such a nice surprise, and fits right in with what I've been in the mood to listen to lately. Completely ok waiting a little longer for the next AM! album after hearing this, this album makes a lot more sense right now

I don't think "spiritual successor" is the right word, not sure what is, but it definitely reminds me of Dead Friend. Like Laura doesn't want to lose another one. Works very well.

Finished my first listen. I actually think the back half is quite a bit stronger than the first half.

“Please Leave” through the end in particular.


“Swimming Pool Song” and “Mountain Song” were my first half highlights.

 

This is exactly what I needed right now.

edit: just bought the clear vinyl with yellow/blue/orange swirl so fast

the mostly pure acoustic-ness of this makes me think about that original Against Me! EP, which in turn makes me smile
