Didn’t Circa Survive just cancel a tour because of Anthony’s mental health? I hope he’s doing better but it seems odd they cancel and he announces a new tour shortly after.

I hear what you're saying about announcing a tour after canceling one, but Circa's tour was set to end in early March (they were going to reschedule the earlier cancelled dates to later in the summer). They had to cancel so Anthony could go to rehab urgently.

This solo tour was likely already being planned before they had to cancel the Circa tour. Per his Twitter, Anthony is doing better now and will be ready to tour by May assuming he can stay clean.

Nothing to speculate on. He needed help, got help, and is getting ready to do his thing again. It would be odd if the tour dates overlapped, but there is a 2 month gap from when one ended to the next beginning. Can't expect him to stop touring forever.

Hoping he and Steve are getting the help they need.

 

He has answered a bunch of people in the Instagram comments for this announcement if you want to hear directly from him. Seems like he's just trying to do his best and move forward.
