Kristen Stewart and Dakota Johnson are both great, and yeah it sucks that she can never escape Twilight exactly but she's doing great work
Kristen Stewart can be great and Adventureland is one of those times. That's a fantastic movie that was mis marketed.
i will say she was a little underwhelming in Clouds of Sils Maria, but overall i think i was just a little underwhelmed by that movie
Holding bad films against actors has always been confusing. They are pretty people who say lines for paychecks; why would you turn down a massive book series adaptation when everyone else your age is struggling? No actor is immune from this. Meryl Streep has done a lot of trash, and even Daniel-Day Lewis did Nine.
Belko Experiment - 7.5/10 It was to a T, exactly, the kind of movie I expected. It could not have been a simpler movie, as everything that happened was quick and direct, to a point where it's actually kinda satistfying. There's no beating around the bush in this movie, there's no red-hearings, it.... it is what it is. To some, it's enjoyable, to some it's detestable, for me it was a lot of fun, but it missed out on the opportunity of bieng better than just fun. There was no point to any of this.... and the ending is so bleh, that it really does kind of hurt the entire movie. While a movie like the purge does a good enough job explaining its rules and world, and has it make somewhat sense, the belko experiment doesn't even come close to trying to cover its tracks with an explanation to the madness. It met expectations but it did not exceed them.
I really thought Logan was spectacular. A glimmer of hope for what can happen with comic book movies if they stop being so deliberately middling
I just watched Grave of the Fireflies, a studio Ghibli movie. It might be one of the saddest things I've ever watched but it was so good
I watched it with my girlfriend and we sat on our phones and didn't say a word to each other afterwards for at least 30 minutes lol
What. Why. It's one of those movies that for one reason or another I don't want to see again. Like Requiem for a Dream or Antichrist, or Schindler's List.
Because I didn't watch movies really back then so I didn't really know what to make of it. I hardly remember it
High Fidelity: You know when you watch a movie and think, "This has existed all my life and I'm only now seeing it? What else am I missing out on?" 9/10
