It's more so that the last like two pages of the horror thread were just people ranking the three without additional commentary or context lol
as a fan of The Descent, this would honestly be kind of great to break up the monotony, lol i'd do the same for Sinister
I usually get annoyed by random rankings but I don't see how ranking the 3 big horror movies of May is any different/worse then just posting a movie you saw with a ranking out of 10 with no actual review of the movie.
I like to post reviews in here with my scores, but even when it's just scores, it's not the same three movies being rearranged by every user
I think it's one of the worst films I've ever seen lol. Nobody ever mentions how atrocious the dialogue is. The CGI is bad and the only thing anyone ever fawns over is the ending, which is shock for shock's sake.
yeah, I have never rewatched The Descent, but I remember it being pretty damn great and actually kinda scary when I saw it back in theaters
Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 7/10 I watched this movie once in theaters when it first came out and hated it. Thought it was terrible looking garbage and a stain on the good name of Indiana Jones. My son has been watching all of the Indy movies a lot lately, and I caught part of this like a month or two ago and was enjoying myself, and then I sat down and watched the entire movie with him the other night and I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy the whole thing. Solid movie. Fun adventure and chuckled throughout. I think I would still probably rank it last out of all Indy movies, but it's still a solid, enjoyable movie. (I remember being weirdly focused on how horrible the scenes shot outside looked when I saw it originally on release, and watching it again just now, its basically one part of the scene where Indy first shows up & Cate Blanchett's character is introduced, and it looks like maybe it's a pickup or they ran out of daylight or something, but there's part of that scene outside the hangar where the sky is all purple-y but they were clearly all shot against green screen and badly composited over a shitty-looking background)
