I haven't gone out of my way to watch a movie since my son was born but he keeps getting out of the bassinet and putting them on so I'm not going to leave him hanging
hey aaron they just announced barry lyndon is coming to the criterion collection @Long Century will buy it for you
I'll send him my address and make sure I get to it after Robocop 2 and Robocop 3. Any word on Pixels coming to Criterion?
I'm halfway through Pixels. It's not very good at all, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't immensely enjoy the Pac-Man sequence. If nothing else, the effects are pretty cool.
State of Grace Worth watching. I think people would fawn over the cast but what I really liked about it is having the cop who turns on his friends really struggle with that fact. It’s not Goodfellas or the other great movies movies of it’s time but it distinguishes itself enough to be worth a view
We watched Linklater’s Bad News Bears last night. Pretty not great Bob movie. There is a scene at a skatepark where they play a Motion City song though.
Linklater has to have the most misses of the greatest directors. It's really interesting to see someone so wildly inconsistent.
I didn't know this would be like that. Everytime RoboCop did his little walk with his butt out the lady's where hollering
Linklater's misses (Bad News Bears, Where'd You Go, Bernadette?) are still completely competent. Just kinda bland and uninspired.
The one with Michael Scott, Morpheus, and Walter White doing a buddy road trip to bury a dead son was his most misguided film.
Yeah, Bad News Bears is competent. It should be funnier. It should be as funny and have as much heart as School of Rock did, but it didn’t.
