Michael Clayton When I watched it for the first time around the time it first came out, it didn't resonate with me for some reason (maybe I was on my phone and not giving it my full attention or something). But when I watched it last night I was blown away! What a fantastic movie with some incredible performances (Clooney, Wilkinson, Swinton, Pollack)! I was disappointed to go back and see that Clooney and Wilkinson didn't win Oscars for their performances until I saw who beat them out - Daniel Day-Lewis for There Will Be Blood and Javier Bardem for No Country for Old Men. So yeah, totally deserved there. I'm curious to check out more from Tony Gilroy. I see he also directed Duplicity. Don't know much about that one. Would anyone recommend checking it out?
I got to catch Mulholland Drive at the theater. It was my second time watching it and everything just clicked. 5/5 just a perfect movie. I’ll be watching it again soon.
2007 and 2019 are the best years for movies this century. Top Twenty Films of 2007. Top Twenty Films of 2019.
Michael Clayton reminds me a lot of Moneyball. Very classically well-made films that got attention but not always the right kind.
I finally watched Michael Clayton a few years ago after hearing all the hype and was slightly let down. I need to rewatch it with tempered expectations.
Saw it last year in cinema, it was magical. Its screening again this month but im going to see Lost Highway this time
yeah I was going to try and catch lost highway this week but it’s during the day so I was then going to try for wild at heart and it’s sold out.
Trap - 2/10 I'm sorry. You can say it was "fun" or "intentionally shlocky"....i say it's just outright terrible. The plot just didn't make a ton of sense and then once they leave the concert, there's still like another 45 minutes left! and why?! I couldn't buy into literally anything happening during the concert. Why wouldn't Harnett just play it cool and walk out since they don't know who he is? If it wasn't for a line towards the end of the movie, i had no idea why they even knew "the butcher" would even be there. I fell asleep 3 times watching this week, finally finished it tonight and i thought it was boring, dumb, and definitely enters the bottom 5 M Night Movie list. Hated this.
Ughh you guys are killing me lol The first half of the movie i have to shut my brain off (like totally off and don't ask any questions) and the 2nd half is too long/boring and becomes a different (and less interesting) movie. It took the movie way too long for them to tell the audience how the cops knew he would be at the concert. Also, they don't know who he is or what he looks like....Hartnett could've walked through them. Plus he wasn't some mastermind getting around things...it took dumb luck a few times for him to "not get caught". Hate it hate it hate it hate it
