Flow - 9.5/10 Stunning animation and music. I went in blind, just knowing it won best picture. It was hard to watch at times because a cat was in danger most of the film and my three cats are my world. No humans, but we see the world after an apocalyptic flood through the eyes of animals. Its definitely worth a watch.
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery - 7/10 I don't think the actual plot is all the great or propulsive but my god the gags in this movie are so, so good!
Austin Powers was my jam as a kid. That was always my legit #1.....and i always thought 2 was funnier! But. 20 years later. Ehhhh lol I was a dumb teenager. Austin Powers 1 still holds up 100% and rhe 2nd isn't AS FUNNY as I remember but hey comedies are weird like that. A certain thing may have seemed fresh and new and that's what cracked me up at the time but 20 years later that thing may have been done to death so you're like "why did I think that was soooo funny?" But at the time having a bunch of people say different slang/words for dick and balls was comedy gold
rewatched challengers, still like it. when i first saw it in the theater the music was too damn loud that it became distracting like it was drowning out everything else. as cool as the soundtrack is, watching the movie at much lower volume with subtitles was a better experience for sure.
I probably quote Austin Powers weekly. 1. That really hurt! 2. I love gooooooolllllld 3. That’s a man, baby! 4. You crazy Dutch bastard 5. OPEN THE GATE!
Goldmember is the least funny of the four characters that he plays and Beyoncé is trying too hard but it's still a funny movie. The mole bit works.
"honestly who throws a shoe" is one I still repeat. 1 is probably better, but the gag of jokes about the shape of Dr. Evil's ship was the height of comedy for me when that came out.
