That CGI is horrifying

 

Dawn of the Dead (2004) - 8/10, yeah this kinda fucks.

 

It was jarring at first but I just got use to it

 

Ocean's Eleven is pretty spectacular, honestly. Like it would be major for its influence anyway (sooooooooo many rip-offs) but it's still an excellent watch on its own.

 

The original is one of my all-time favorite films and for a 2000s remake, this one honestly comes closer than most to touching the quality of its source material. Good stuff.

 

Finestkind (2023) - 7/10

Film about fisherman in New England who agreed to smuggle heroin on their ship. Had its moments for sure.

 

Yeah it's not really on the same level as Romero's original trilogy, but I'd take it over a lot of contemporary zombie movies for sure.

Love the 2004 dawn of the dead and have probably seen it more than the original.

Anora - 9/10. Great performance by Madison. Fuck Ivan and his family.

pretty sure that's what I gave it and yet I still found his score too low

the longer I sit with that film, the better it is to me

 

Minions rise of gru

 

Close, but it’s actually the original

 

Anora is a solid 7.5/10. Ending might make it an 8

 

Still need to watch that one. Loved Red Rocket.
