    Apollo 13

First time watching Apollo 13 and I enjoyed it, very well acted and directed but man what a stacked main cast and a murderers row of supporting character actors that I recognised from other films and TV shows!

  2. Another big post incoming, lol. Not as big as the last one, but big.

    Mufasa - 6.5/10

Harmless, decent time at the movie's watching a cash grab Disney prequel. Not hot garbage, not a masterpiece...it is what it is.

Songs wre mostly forgettable...brotha song obviously the stand out.

My biggest complaint is scar becoming evil needed to be way better than Sarabi (who he met 2 days earlier) liked Mufasa more than him. We could've done better than that.

The Wild Robot - I’m not sure what I’m missing with this one. After all the praise, I was pretty let down. Beautiful animation sure, but overall the story felt like a bit of a mess. Instead of going the simple route, it was like three movies in one. Outside of Lupita Nyong’o I wasn’t overly impressed with the voice acting either. It definitely had cute moments and it hit on the themes of motherhood. So I didn’t hate it, but I do not understand the hype at all.

    Thank you, Grimace.

Unfortunately out of principal, I now also have to stand by all the bad things I’ve said about you.

I liked it about 85% of how everyone was talking about it. Like, I wiped a little tear while everyone else said I'd sob. Not enough to say I was disappointed, but a matter of degree less.

It is good, probably better than anything Disney put out last year except for maybe Inside Out 2. Flow is better than all of them.

All 5 animated movies nominated for the Oscar this year would be worthy winners in and of themselves.

Honestly that category is always good. I can count on one hand the number of movies they've nominated that I wouldn't actively recommend in the last 15 years.

    Local Legends - 10/10

A hilarious, heartfelt autobiographical film about finding the reward in making the silly movies only you and a few friends might understand while everyone else questions what you’re doing with your life, while also having to work a “real” job and make thousands and thousands of novelty songs that actually sell to help fund the art you’d probably rather be making.

If you’ve seen any Motern movies like Don’t Let the Riverbeast Get You, this is an absolute must watch, and even if you haven’t, I’d still strongly recommend checking this out.

Oh hell yes. Not sure I'd seen any posts about Motern here. Bummed I missed Bloodbath.

I only discovered Motern recently (hilarious was when I discovered the poop songs I used to put on at work after close were his) and wasn’t even aware there was a Local Legends sequel until you mentioned it, so thanks, going to have to watch it today!

Ill echo the "disappointed" or rather, I went into this with way too high expectations? It was fine. Harmless. But we never got to tears, peak Pixar mode with the story. There's way worse out there and it was very pleasant but that's as far as I'll take it.

Have you seen Slingshot Cops? Might be the funniest of the 6 I've seen, which is saying something.

So I watched Before Sunrise for the first time a few months ago and thought it was great. Easily a 9.5/10 for me for numerous reasons. I decided to watch Before Sunset recently. I thought it was fine. Didn’t quite have the charm as the first film and I didn’t like that its revealed they slept together when they were at the park in before sunrise. The idea of them spending all evening and night together without going that far added to the charm of the first film for me. The ending was also very abrupt. Overall I’d give it a 7/10

Then I watched Before Midnight. I liked some of the dialogue, especially when they are having lunch with the rest of the people at the hotel. I also liked the struggle of Jesse wanting to spend more time with his kid in America, while Celine clearly has no interest and she knows what Jesse is wanting to do. Other than that, I was kind of just bored with this one. I get what they were wanting to address with this film, but I just wasn’t drawn to it. I’d give it a slightly lower score than Before Sunset with a 6.5/10

So for the Before Trilogy I’d rank them:

    Before Sunrise: 9.5/10
    Before Sunset: 7/10
    Before Midnight: 6.5/10

Not yet but I just downloaded it and will watch it very soon. I’m watching Bloodbath now and loving it. Love the updated version of the Andy Samberg Be My Friend song haha
