Uhhh yeah, the brownface is so thick that you have to double-take to realize it's him and also his name is Prince Habeeboo
The cut after he caused the car wreck is so powerful. It never really lets you forget how vile he is.
A close to perfect film imo. It definitely doesn't hold your hand, and it is straight-up alarming how good Simon Rex is in that role
I really liked it Suzanna Son stole the show for me. gorgeous and very talented. she has a bright future
Red Rocket was great. Simon Rex was absolutely perfect in it. It’s also one of the few films to show footage of Trump where it didn’t feel eye rolling. It wasn’t subtle, but Rex’s character was such a perfect parallel that it works.
Face/Off Nicolas Cage and John Travolta at the peak of their powers plus John Woo at the top of his game and easily his best Hollywood film = an stone cold classic in the action genre!!
this whole Aaron thing with Face/Off is starting to feel a lot like it did with Heat hopefully we’ll get a review before year’s end just fucking with you, Aaron
fair enough, tho I would actually caution you with Barry Lyndon a bit and say I feel like it’s something you need to experience when you’re ready or you might not get as much out of it as you otherwise would. it’s just not a very sexy or exciting film in so many ways like his others are. I know a few people who probably watched it before they themselves were really ready to sit down with it and it took a few more watches for them to really come around to it. not saying that is a normal occurrence or one you should necessarily expect but the dude at your work can wait until you really wanna watch it, I think.
I'm just not really into historical films, and I know it's more than that and I know I will appreciate it from a technical standpoint but I also agree that if I'm not in the mood for something like that, it's gonna be a long three hours.
Heathers This was my first time watching Heathers and it was absolutely brillant, smart and dark as fuck teen comedy film with excellent performances by Winona Ryder and Christan Slater as the leads of the film.
