  11. I don't have a problem with long movies, I just have a problem fitting them into my schedule lol. I loved seeing KotFM in theaters for that reason. With Heat, I just gotta find a free two hours (probably before bed) to finish it. But that's the length of another movie on its own and I'm supposed to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 with a friend tonight (her first time)

Take arms, it'll all blow over Prestigious

I try to never break up movies I'm seeing for the first time, and generally try to avoid it, but I've been rewatching some movies lately while doing cardio and those I will take a break from after an hour on the elliptical, but usually finish up right after a shower.

  13. I don't mind breaking up a film into halves or thirds, especially if it's that long. Just the way life goes sometimes

  25. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 - 8/10
A film that has only grown on me with time. I still prefer the original -- there are moments where the feature in this (borderline grating lunacy) turns into a bug -- but when it manages to walk that line, which it often does, Hooper really strikes a balance between deranged slapstick horror, surprising commentary, and the viciousness of his original film. I can absolutely understand why some people love this one, some people hate it, and for others (like myself), it needs time to grow on you. It really revels in going off the rails. But it looks undeniably great (lots of neon and Christmas lights), the casting is perfect (from Caroline Williams and an unhinged Dennis Hopper to Bill Moseley's polarizing turn as Chop Top), and the film just oozes Halloween hangout movie vibes. The ending sequence will make your head spin, and I'm hard-pressed to think of anything quite like it. You really can't go wrong with an abandoned amusement park set piece.
