Kate (Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate's barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart . . . and you gotta have faith.

Oh shit, no idea this was directed by Paul Feig. Very excited to see how he follows up A Simple Favor, a masterpiece

He wrenches on it. He thinks it's his.

So the guy is definitely dead and going to help her crossover into death, right?

I got huge vibes that this will be incredibly sad even from only sort of paying attention to the trailer.

Emma Thompson randomly emailing Paul Feig hey I got this script for you and saying she likes staring at Henry Golding is incredible

This was mostly a delight. I gave pause when I saw that Emma Thompson was writing, but very little of this didn't work for me. Mainly I wish this didn't take so long to get rolling. Worth checking out otherwise. Never doubt Paul Feig

Was only a fan of this for Emilia Clarke. She is just one of the most charming actors out there. Everything else fell flat. Feig felt like he was a gun for hire on this. Would have been shocked to find out he directed this if I hadn’t already known.
