There aren’t enough Boops and beeps in the world that could make some of these slower/mid tempo ballads even remotely engaging and interesting

I think it’s just a symptom of the Spotify era - more tracks on an album leads to more streams. Which means songs that normally would have been cut, instead get included in the release
Most, if not all, of this album shoulda been cut. Hated the songs I heard before, hate the rest. This band is probably done.
Fav track from this recent LANY era is actually the track he did with Kelsea Ballerini, “I Quit Drinking”
There are 4 or 5 songs I’d listen to more this once from this. I’d listen to none of them over anything pre-Mama’s Boy, however. The band lost their magic, but what can ya do. At least the self-titled and Malibu Nights still hit after 1,000 spins.
