I see where the country aspect comes in, but I did think she said she was kind of dropping that idea at one point. I think the full commitment to the country sound/aesthetic was ditched when the title Lasso was. I'm pretty confident she said at one point that she wasn't sure it would end up being that by the time it came out. I like the song, I'm feeling pretty similar to how I felt when I heard Let Me Love You Like a Woman, which is that it feels a bit like a pallet cleanser after the more massive albums like NFR! and Ocean Blvd. Hope there are some bigger swings on the full album (and I'm sure there will be), but this will do for now!
Let Me Love You Like a Woman is one of my favorite LDR tracks. I know it's straightforward, but I just love her melodies and little vocal layerings she does so much.
She sang new songs about her husband, about kissing Morgan Wallen and about how many spotify listeners she has
reading the new lyrics...you know it's been a pleasant ride but this album might be where I finally hop off the bandwagon ha
I interpreted the Morgan Wallen as a diss, idk if that means she actually kissed him or not lol I thought the 57.5 million song was genuinely funny. Definitely not gonna be her best album, but I don’t mind where it’s going
Watching some of the set right now, this alligator husband Christian tradwife song is one of the worst things I've heard this year
Idly checked the setlist to see what the fuss was about and goddamn that's actually an awful show lmao.
