I think my point is the level of difference. Like.... yes I know her albums are different overall, but not in the sense of like Taylor or St Vincent or even Gaga/Katy, etc... the changes are more subtle than big. I'd love to see a big change from Lana

 

He became involved very late in the process. Most if not all of the songs were already written and most of the individual parts were recorded

 

born to die and ultra violence are mad different, even honeymoon was different than ultra violence. lust was a bit of a summation of all three so a big change seems likely

 

Yea that could definitely be it. I think it's cus her vocal style kind of stays constant and a lot of her music is in subtleties. I've spent a lot of time with each album, so I probably notice the differences more. I just know the Lana album I reach for varies quite a bit depending on my mood.
