NFR > BTD > LFL are the three that I enjoy in full, the rest I never really came around to

Up until NFR! I found every LDR album had a distinct character (the guitars one! the one with guest rappers and actual pop crossover attempts! etc) but since then she seems pretty locked into a style with only minimal deviance and slight changes in arrangement. That said, the mix of new collaborators and guests has me optimistic we'll see a little more variety on the new one. (I also think it's her first album with no Rick Nowels writing credits.)

Why'd I think this was out March 10th and now it's not until March 24th?

Probably good for my sanity that I don't have to take them both in at once

    Lana Del Rey: “A&W”

    That was fast! BNT.

Instantly my favorite track of hers since Venice Bitch (which is one of the greatest songs of that decade imo)

Totally agree with the sentiment that this is like a journey through her entire career in one song, while simultaneously unlike anything she's ever done

    Got a light?

Enjoyed it but gotta give it a few more listens, Venice Bitch may very well never be dethroned for me as my fav long song she’s done but that bar is crazy high

I'm giving up on trying to rank her albums or songs, it's futile

tbh, for me, Chemtrails felt a bit like she was starting to phone it in, and Blue Banisters definitely started to deviate from that for me (and was pretty good), but wasn't the revolutionary follow-up to NFR i was looking for. with this song, it sounds like she's moving into some strange and exciting territory, and i'm here for it. what a trip.

I'm expecting this to be an outlier and the rest to be mostly more of the same but I would be delighted to be wrong
