I love the title track

 

Ok sure Lana take it out on the minimum wage employee who probably had nothing to do with it being on the shelves early

 

This is very good so far.

 

Finding this to be even worse than Chemtrails somehow. Just absolutely nothing happening here that excites me, very straightfoward paino ballads for the most part. Ironically the small interlude is the only bit of exciting music on the whole thing, but it totally doesnt fit the album

 

I spoke too soon, "Dealer" is interesting because it features someone who sounds a bit like John from Portugal. The Man, so that's an interesting addition

 

Turns out that is Miles Kane from The Last Shadow Puppets. Apparently Dealer, Thunder and "California" from NFR were all from an unreleased collaborative album between Lana and the band

 

A million posts, I know, but also worth mentioning that there's no Antonoff on this one

 

Yeah she had said a while back this one was gonna be without Jack which surprised me

I hope you like it more than me, haha. I can't believe I still have 4 songs left, this thing is over an hour and I do not believe it earns the right to be haha

 

Just finished my first listen. The album sounds unusually light-hearted for LDR's standards. It even made me LOL a few times, which automatically makes it better than Chemtrails and other excruciatingly boring pop albums that have dropped this year.

 

Okay, I finished (had to take a few breaks to do other things). I like this more than Chemtrails, but I think I am over Lana on the piano ballad style music. There are some beautiful songs on here, no question, but a lot of it just sounds samey to me.

 

The interlude is so out of place here. It's interesting but...yeah.

 

I still don't understand how people don't like Chemtrails!

On my third listen of this and I really like it. The chorus of Text Book is so good it hurts.

 

Is that Lana doing the yell singing in Dealer? I want her to do more of that

This seems like a pretty boring controversy? We already know Lana can't ignore things she'd be better off letting go but like also why shouldn't she be annoyed by someone making that up?

I love this whole album, but the run of songs after the interlude is just so damn good.
