Honestly that feels more like a capitulation to Lana’s eventual critical breakthrough than an actual reevaluation of the album. Born To Die is fine and has a few good-to-great songs, but it’s pretty easily her weakest overall project.
We disagree, that album has wayyyyy more highs than Born To Die. Chop LFL down to 11 tracks and it's a top three Lana album.
This is me. Are you including the Paradise EP? I think if that were considered separately it would be no. 3 for me.
Yeah I’m about here. Actually might have Lust For Life third anyway even though it’s too long. Kinda shocked she doesn’t have more records.
I was out of town this weekend and just recently got home so I just found this out now but yeah. It was on the shelves in Canada as of Friday according to people so obviously it made its way online. I have a link to a leak of the album, it was not too difficult to find.
I haven’t listened yet but reviews I’ve seen from people is that it’s more of the samey piano ballad driven songs, so if you like NFR or Chemtrails this album is for you. Also heard Blue Banisters the title track is one of her best songs ever.
The title track was released as one of the 3 new songs in August and it’s just ok to me. I much prefer Wildflower Wildfire out of whats been officially out.
