I'm really bummed out, I was really stoked that this was going to be Lana's only show this year. It'll still be a fun weekend, but that's a rough blow. And losing Janelle sucks too
I don't know much about Khruangbin and Rufus Du Sol, other than seeing them on lineups and knowing that they have sizeable followings, but those two are definitely steps down from Lana, Janelle, and even King Gizzard. I know with every festival happening this fall the pool is limited, but it definitely sucks.
My silver lining is friday was already too stacked, and Khraungbin will be fun to see if I can, but not a big deal to miss if I can't, so a little pressure is off. And who knows maybe they'll do some Texas Sun songs with Leon Bridges since he's playing Sunday.
Ya Janelle has one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Like it's insane. But Lana has more new music so it also feels like a big loss. Both sting pretty bad
I’ve never seen Janelle live although I’ve never delved into her music a ton (I know, I know, I need to) but she played a show once across the street from me in a park. Tickets were pretty expensive so I didn’t go but I could hear the whole concert from my home which was wild.
Yeah, both are big losses for sure. I'd be bummed, especially because the replacements are pretty different genres too.
You know what would be totally on brand? If Lana was dropped from the festival because she refused to get a vaccine. Not saying that it what happened at all, but it would totally be on brand.
Rumor has it Lana is pregnant and that’s what caused her to drop. Big Lana fan but RÜFÜS will bring a muchhhhh more energetic set.
Some people think this Arcadia will now be the album title. I hope we get the actual album details when this drops
