Its easily their best song imo. One of the best songs ever written.

 

I find it hard to casually listen to La Dispute lately, as my musical tastes have shifted away from emotionally weighty stuff. However, listened to a handful of songs, including "Woman (in mirror)" and "Woman (reading)" for the first time in ages tonight and DAMN. Would do dirty things for an album full of tracks like these.

 

it'd be cool to hear them do a straight-up fast hardcore album

May 12 is apparently the day a new album gets announced.

That's a lot of countdowns. Five sections with two countdowns each a few days apart, going out to September 7th. Single release schedule? Five EPs? No matter what I'm psyched.

Really, really pumped. I know whenever a band does a retrospective via a 10 year anniversary tour, that tends to sometimes bleed into the work. With them recently playing Wildlife & ROTH in full, hopefully this new record pulls more from those instead of Panorama (nothing wrong with that record, just not for me)
