    Newbie

The art and the style makes me think it's an outtake from Rooms...

Understand they’ve released a Here, Hear since Panorama but it’s very nice to hear a new [to us] song.

  6. Why does Jordan sound so... odd here? Just doesn't feel like him, like he has a cold or it's pitch-shifted up or he's putting on a voice. Song is fine.

He mentioned the vocals were recorded earlier this year, so maybe a number of things going on.

Def sounds like it’d be at home on Rooms which means it’s awesome.

  10. He sounds like the parody voice people use when they make fun of "Such Small Hands." Everything else about the song is cool though.

I have not seen anyone mention it: You can order a vinyl copy of Vancouver on their website. It's in stock and shipping instantly.

We reach for the longest shadow

When I first started collecting in 2010-2012ish, that vinyl was a thing of lore that felt unattainable.

I'm not gonna buy it now, but hopefully someone out there has a full circle moment with it.

Rooms is their best. Adore that album front to back

    I do not exist.

Yeah my favourite too. The last track is making me feel nostalgic at the moment as I am moving house and packing everything into boxes. Perfect song for reflecting.

Back on AbsolutePunk I wrote a user review for Wildlife. It was my first intro to the band and hit home, at the time. It’s their most nostalgic album for me. Since then, I’ve grown to love all their albums (even Vancouver). But Rooms is top tier for me. It’s so focused and solid from start to finish. Love it. First vinyl I ever bought too.

Heart says Wildlife, head says Rooms.

Seriously though, Rooms to me is the most consistent album, while Wildlife has the highest of highs with some (please don't come for me) filler. Or maybe everything with all the interludes just leads to it being a more exhausting listen.

Naw, Wildlife for sure is a hell of a listen. Remove the interludes and you still have a dense 10 track album. Not a bad thing, but it can be a taxing listen.

Will say that You & I In Unison is their best closer track by a country mile. Such a dazzling end to a wild record

There's not a single part of Wildlife I don't deeply love but there are a couple of songs on Rooms. I adore them both though and would kill for something that good from them again.
