As Will Yip produced both records that could have happened. I think mewithoutYou were with him first, then La Dispute quite soon after but then mewithoutYou went back to record vocals and finish some bits off.

I don’t know what the etiquette is for a producer showing someone else’s work before release, haha.

I think the bands are different enough but because of the vocal performance they will always get lumped together. I like both but mewithoutYou will always be my favourite. So much history with that band. I’m actually thankful this looks like it’s coming out next year now as I didn’t want it to get overshadowed by what’s shaping up to be an incredible mewithoutYou release.

 

Forgot that Will Yip produced both. Good point. They have to have crossed paths in the studio in some way but I don't know the etiquette either. haha.

I'm glad the releases are spaced out as well. Leaves appropriate time to focus on each of them separately. Thankful we have both.

They posted on Instagram that the album will be out in 2019 on Epitaph.

 

I can wait. I'd rather they took their time and didn't rush.

I thought I had read somewhere that the album was done. Which probably means early 2019. I can deal with a January or February release.

Pittsburgh! This is great news. Think this band will celebrate Halloween in any cool way? Just wondering if I need to get my act together on a costume idea.

 

Gainesville is only two hours away from me, but the fact its on a Thursday might make it too difficult to see. But would love to see La Dispute again.

Honestly I'd love something like that for the art direction of the next LP. Rooms of the House cover art really surprised me when it was announced, since it's such a departure, but it's grown on me and does feel representative of that album.

 

Wildlife turns 7 years old today.

 

i didn't get a notification for this bump and i'm absolutely livid.

happy bday to arguably the greatest album ever made. truly changed my life and has never left my rotation.

 

Wildlife is my absolute favorite la dispute record. HBD!

 

guess I need to give Wildlife another look. i don't stray too far from Rooms-era with this band
