what do you prefer, Rooms or Wildlife?

 

depends what im feeling that day. id say Wildlife has the slight edge. you?

 

Rooms for me, but poem is my favorite la dispute song

 

hopefully there is nothing wrong with the mixing on that song, wouldnt want it to be ruined for anyone right? haha, kiddin of course

 

It’s Wildlife quite easily for me. I pre-ordered Rooms and was super excited for it but it fell a bit flat for me on release. Since then I’ve come to appreciate it MUCH more but I’ll always prefer Wildlife.

Somewhere.... is my favorite though. It’s a wildly unpopular opinion now and probably has everything to do with nostalgia but that record still fucks me up.

I have the same favorite record. Again, probably because it got me into them

 

I wish I liked that whole album as much as "Said the King to the River". That song gets me so hyped.

 

I heard Somewhere for the first time a few months ago and I’m pretty eh on it. Good moments but as a massive ROTH fan I just don’t see myself returning to it much

Rooms of the House is my favourite too. I am in the camp that prefers quieter La Dispute moments and songs like Woman (reading) and Woman (in mirror) duo hit me hard.

 

Anything pre-ROTH doesn't really exist for me for this band. No disrespect intended. And I'll still get down with older songs when played at a show. But I think I got into them too late in life to have all of that youthful angst appeal to me.
