I got the black 180g variant but I feel like i'm doing it wrong given all of the other pretty options

The songs good, don't get me wrong. But I need to listen to it more before I can consider it great.

I’m guessing, like most la dispute songs, it requires the context of the full album to really understand. I mean, I love it, but I can’t wait to see how it all shapes up

Not for me. I don't need the context of an album to enjoy a song. It just hasn't clicked for me yet.

You've never heard a song that didn't work on its own, and then you get the record and you're like ohh this makes sense in the 4 spot?

La Dispute is definitely a band where the context of the full album can greatly add to the individual songs.

I don't think I need more context for the opener. The song is good.

each record has been better than the last one and Rooms is incredible so this might be legendary (Fulton indicates so as well)

God, I love how close Jordan sounds when he starts out on Fulton

This doesn’t have the stand alone quality of a track like For Mayor of Splitsville...yet. will likely mean more with the full context of the record.

Very unpopular opinion but I like it better than anything from ROTH. Really, really great.

I like it better than about half of ROTH and put it on par with the rest

Totaled my car the day this dropped, just got around to listening to this and GOD DAMN. The instrumentation sounds so full.

Never been a fan of these guys, I usually like the music but the vocals has always turned me away. But I really like Fulton. I think his more restrained vocals works really well, and the instrumentation is fantastic.

Any recommendations on songs can I checkout in which he holds back a bit on the screaming?

    I do not exist.

I'd probably go with these two:

They're two of my favourites from the last release.

Played Fulton a handful of times on Tuesday. Now I'm just trying to stay as far away from it as possible. Releasing a single 4 months out from release day is kinda cruel but I'm just happy the wheels are finally spinning.

This one too, it really feels like a proto-Fulton street looking back.
