Yeah, my preliminary ranking at this point (Panorama might move up after I dig into the lyrics) would probably be Wildlife > Somewhere > Panorama > Rooms. I had no idea Rooms was this popular.

 

So hard to listen to only one track from this, it really pulls you in and demands your full attention throughout.

Also the more I listen to this , is the more aggressive/ heavy it sounds.

 

really wish this got put out in winter time. it's not the first thing i gravitate towards with the sun coming out and everything thawing out here.

 

i swore i ordered that variant but i ended up getting the purp. kinda disappointed.

 

Even if I’m not sure how it stacks up against their other records yet, this is by far their most cohesive work. The sequencing is nearly perfect.

Yea, tough for me to connect w right now due to weather warming up. Totally a me thing. Not blaming the quality of the release.

 

Finally got around to listening to this album, really enjoyed it. I can see this eventually becoming my favourite

The lyrics on You Ascendant are probably Jordan’s best ever. I say that as a huge fan of his lyrics.

 

You had a party just for La Dispute? Awesome!

 

I’m already considering the possibility that this is their best record. It’s easily their most cohesive and feels like such an experience (not that the other records don’t).

so question because i havent gotten into the lyrics as a whole yet and i dont know when i will with how busy i am: does anyone have a nice summary/overview of what this album and its themes are about? i understand the ins and outs of both wildlife and rooms of the house ridiculously well but i had much more time to spend thinking about and analyzing these things back when those records were released

 

From what I gathered the record deals with the mythos of death/decay along the area of Michigan Jordan, and his partner reside. That’s the extent I know, and this album is half the length of Wildlife yet twice as dense. I love it.

Wildlife starts to lose me around I See Everything with how dark the subject matter gets/length of the album.

 

Rooms, and this hold my attention better
