Saw that on social media. Awesome quality, would have loved to see the whole entire set....hopefully that gets put up sometime.
As a Michigander who started seeing them live in 2008 it makes me feel sooooo fucking gooood to see La Dispute playing to crowds this size and getting the response they do in 2026. Inject these 2026 clips into my veins.
I saw them a few months back in London and it was the best I've ever seen them. I was shocked to see how young the audience was too given La Dispute are 20 years in now. It injected so much energy into the show though to see people probably witnessing these guys for the first time and just losing themselves in it. These recent videos are showing me that I really need to catch them at a festival some day though. It looks like the gateway to hell is opening up in some of these...
I think that's spot on, it feels like these guys got caught up in some tiktok gen z memes that introduced a whole new batch of kids to them. With how strong their last album was it feels like they might be reaching a new level of popularity ~20 years into in their existence, after Panorama and the long break it feels wild to say that.
I was there too, very close to the stage, Oubtreak is a quite huge festival, but it's all based on the same scene and people know their stuff for sure. Amazing experience
Uh, so I came across some elder emo dad dancing to Such Small hands last night. I'd never heard any song from this band before, but had heard of the name. Now, listening to Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair tonight, I'm questioning why I never gave them a shot before.
Wife was NOT a fan of having the album on while packing up the house today. Diving further into discog tonight.
I’ll just be sitting or going about my day, and I’ll remember the line that Jordan wrote in First Reactions about coming up from the ice and seeing if his phone still worked. Just floors me still someone thought to write something so specific and true to real day life.
