This is your life, are you who you want to be?

The title track may be one of the top two or three things Anthony has ever done.

yeah t/t is definitely my favourite on this although Live Forever is great at making you feel like running through a fucking wall and leaving a hole shaped like you in it

I think she's new at Will Yip's label, but googling for the info if Tucker played with Frank Iero for his solo stuff I think I always saw her mentioned as one of his partners for that. Might need to check it out. But for now - here comes LSD! Though it's 3AM and I've just got back home

Kayleigh opened for Bayside on their full band acoustic tour a few years back under the name Golds. Thought her set was pretty good

I think I heard a song or two from her recently and was into it

They fixed your brain when you were young.

She’s played with a bunch of bands over the years doing auxiliary stuff as well. Most recently played keys/violin with Kevin Devine. So she’s been in a the scene a long time, I think just started releasing her own music over the last couple years.

I like Kayleigh Goldsworthy, I haven’t listened to her new stuff but All These Miles is a solid EP

    Mixed by yip and Ratti.

opinion: this mix is awesome, dry, in your face post hardcore. Vocals pushed back more so instruments can slap you in the face. But the more I listen the less the vocal mix even bugs me, like I don’t even notice the buried vocals now.

We reach for the longest shadow

Feels a little one note melodically, definitely some cool stuff going on instrumentally. I imagine it will grow on me. Grifter and the closer were the initial standouts for me.

    obliterate all prior things

This just ain't it for me. It really suffers from all of my biggest gripes with Yip's production the last decade. Circa's dream EPs really felt like a fresh take and much more nuanced product. I guess this is me losing interest in modern post hardcore more than anything else, which I can accept. This whole record feels cheesy, uninspired, and very one note. This version of 2022 is an absolutely bizarre choice for an album opener imo. It just doesn't work at all for me.

I feel like I'm in the negaverse and I'm just hearing a totally different product than many of you are hearing. There's nothing here for me to grab on to.
