Most band names are terrible and then you’re stuck with them if you ever get popular heard Ben Gibbard say on a podcast the other day that “not a day goes by where I don’t wish I picked a simpler name” than DCFC
Fear Before the March of Flames is maybe the best band name and they *still* fucked it up by shortening it
The Sound of Animals Fighting is pretty dope. As a name, actually don’t love the project as much. Lol
I’m not trying to start fights but it’s better than a few of the scene band names that people set they liked above lol
The reason they’re called that is because they wanted to be listed first in record stores. There was no SEO back then lmao
I think it's a cool story. I think if they called the band "LSD" that would be lame, but giving it a spin on a story that is personal to them is cool. At least that's how it reads to me, to each their own obvi.
not saying LS Dunes is a bad name. I actually like the way the name sounds out of context. I just think naming something after lsd would be gimmicky.
I don't even really notice band names unless it's like super raunchy or something. Other than that I don't rly question it or notice. When I heard LS Dunes I didn't notice the LSD thing I was just like yep that is a name of a band Edit: unless the name is super long. Just cause it's annoying to type or decipher long acronyms
The band name emporium was closed I guess... Guess they got their name down the street at like... Band-mart.. or Band, Bus and Beyond.
