Heard this for the first time yesterday, came away really impressed. FFO Bowie, Queen, a bit of Bob Dylan.
Still loving this album. I haven't loved an album that came completely out of nowhere like this in a long time. Too bad it doesn't seem to be catching on much around here.
Really loved this album around the time it came out. It was pretty much all I listened to for a week or two. Then I t got lost in the Radiohead/James Blake/ANOHNI/etc. onslaught. I need to revisit it. I have a feeling I'll like it even more with this summer weather.
I am going to see this guy tonight, hopefully he is as impressive live as he is on the album. I'm still so surprised by the lack of attention this guy has received not only here but on most music sites I frequent.
I just found this album last week and have been listening to it non-stop. Really great, and a pretty unique sound.
I pre-ordered and yesterday they sent me a soundcloud stream. I've already listened a bunch -- really good stuff.
I really liked Dolls of Highland and the old songs he reworked for it. Maybe the gimmick has worn on me, but the new songs sound hollow.
