viola davis as the villain for the second time in a few short months

 

took me a sec to realize it’s because dune is coming out this week

 

pretty average and safe new entry. didn't need to happen other than i guess someone at universal made the demand. lacks a great amount of what made the others work (including 3, somehow) and awkwafina's character is something you've seen a hundred times already. even the fight scenes are kinda ho hum by comparisons. was also disappointed in the villain, viola davis was given nothing. but it's apparently tracking well, so who cares what i say
