For sure interested in this being R. Not in the R-rated content but how it justifies it. So long as ATJ has as much fun with this as Hardy does with Venom, it will be a wild ride.
That … uh … doesn’t sound great to me haha. I’m not a Kraven expert by any means but this seems a little off base, no?
In what way? Seems to me so far like a pretty fair take for an adaptation. A wild (complimentary) one, but one that fits the character and his storytelling potential.
I don’t mind Kraven biting someone’s face off. It’s the “don’t you want to know why I’m called the Rhino” and then transforms in the rhino that I don’t like. Reminds me of the juggernaut in x-men last stand.
I don’t think this is gonna be bombastic camp like Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), or indulgent and operatic like Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Based on how that footage was described and who the director is, my guess is something like those two Mangold-helmed Wolverine films, where it’s not afraid to get comic-book-y but mostly filters things through a more raw & visceral lens. A Rhino mutate is a little further than I would’ve expected Chandor to go; hopefully it’s executed and integrated well.
I think I need to see Triple Frontier to see what kind of tone this may go for, but it seems interesting so far
I feel like any interest I have in this is tempered by the fact that the post-credits are probably gonna be Morbius getting Kraven to help him and Vulture get Spider-Man and Kraven replying "Interesting."
This looks dope as fuck, imo! The drop of lion blood is very dumb, but it's a type of comic-book-y dumb that I don't mind just rolling past. Everything else about this trailer for this weird-ass, shouldn't-exist movie looks very made for me, personally. And, I welcome it with open arms.
