It's just so frustrating how bad Netflix dropped the bomb on all merch for this, especially halloween stuff. We're having to DIY costumes for our kids. Literally no merch anywhere, and every store is saying nothing will be coming for months.
Yup. It’s truly dumbfounding. I’m very glad my daughter told us she wanted to be Mira for Halloween all the way back in mid-August because that gave me enough time to order it and receive it in the mail. Every single shop selling costumes is coming from overseas in China. Even on Etsy where you can find a ton of costumes, they’re all just third party shops that ship everything from China. If I’d ordered it now, there’s no way anything would arrive on time. I’m still waiting on pins and needles for my son’s Derpy Tiger costume to arrive in the mail. It seems like it will probably arrive either next week or the week after, but I’ve been waiting for three weeks now.

Okay, so I’ve since finished this and watched it a second time, and here’s the thing: I am absolutely obsessed with it. The movie itself is good to great, but I’ve never been more convinced that auditory crack exists than when I listen to these songs. Every one is a banger. I’m tempted to say the 8 Huntr/x/Saja Boys songs are the best pop album I’ve heard in a loooooong time. And “What It Sounds Like” makes me either tear up or get goosebumps, or both, every time I hear it. That NEVER happens. I’m generally not one to get emotional in that way over art, so I feel like I’m treading new territory here. It’s so good, and I have no idea how to process how much I like it other than just listening to those songs on repeat.
