Favorite podcast reviewed it. It’s good but not as good as The Nothing seems to be the general consensus. Riot Act: Korn - Requiem on Apple Podcasts
currently livestreaming a show from a church; instrumentation is acoustic and augmented by a full choir/horns. set so far is "falling away from me," "alone i break," "no one's there." started off a little shaky but this version of "no one's there" is astonishing
correction: every new song they've played is awesome, especially "let the dark do the rest" and "worst is on its way"
Quite enjoy this album on first listen. Weird to hear a bit of optimism shine through in a Korn album but I dig it.
Jonathan was talking to Jose Mangin yesterday and he was pretty open about the fact that they have never considered themselves a metal band and felt like they never deserved the title.
Having a shit day at work and Issues was really scratching the itch for me this morning, both in an angry way and in a Halloween is approaching kinda way. Some really weird sounds and wild hooks on that one.
Hadn't listened to Korn properly in years but gave this a go and loved it, especially the first few tracks. Got me right back into them.
Is there a consensus for their best albums after the first four or five? Listening to See the Other Side in full for the first time today for MWE.
kind of amazing how prolific this band continues to be with recording & releasing new music, when they could certainly just be one of the 'we'll tour occasionally but that's it' groups from their era
