After this, it looks like KORN will be out on tour with Stone Sour June through August.

How is Korn still so popular?

Saw Korn in like 09(?) and they were incredible in their live show. I think they've transitioned into that stage where they're very clearly a legacy act, but still put out one or two songs on new albums that really excite fans. I've always maintained that history is going to look very kindly on them and their unique sound.

Fair enough. I mean, I was a fan during the first few albums but I guess I personally just didn't care much after that. Just seems like they still play large arenas (although this particular tour may be smaller) and I don't know anyone that still listens to them. I will agree that they do have that "legacy" factor though and were one of the main forefathers of nu-metal. Just interesting to see them remains as successful as they have.

Agreed, it's a weird popularity for me to understand as well, but I guess that's what happens. If you were an 18 year old when their first album cam out, you probably have kids old enough to go to shows now.

And they had some massive hits in the TRL days haha

Yeah, I was in junior high when the first album came out and I guess if they did a tour with a bunch of the Family Values bands, I might consider going for nostalgia.

Yeah, to expand on what @Steve_JustAGuy said, they do the smart thing of playing all the hits people want but still throw in a few songs off whatever current album they have to not be entirely a nostalgia band.

It's worked for me, I can't wait to see all the songs I love plus badass new songs like Rotting in Vein and Insane live. They still can perform really well too.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be rescheduling a majority of our May tour dates. We will still be performing at Carolina Rebellion on May 6th, Pointfest on May 13th and Rock On The Range on May 20th. All tickets will be honored, or refunded at the point of purchase. Stay tuned for more information regarding rescheduling the dates.
