it’s good but it didn’t touch Copacetic IMO still looking fwd to whatever they do next, I think they have the potential of creating more complex / less formulaic pop punk than any other band out there except maybe Somos (although FDB was a huge disappointment for me)
Yeah, this album is so good. I was obsessed with it over the summer after I saw them at warped tour. Everyone One Lies To Me was my most played song last year.
I know this is brought up every time, but I would listen to this non-stop if it wasn't for the production. It just physically, non-metaphorically, hurts my ears. I can't explain it.
I get what you’re saying. I think copacetic’s production is worse though. Which is unfortunate bc that album also rips.
I like shapeshifter a lot. It reminded a lot of Taking Back Sunday’s Where You Want To Be album. However, also really hoping they change it up for the next one
I think they're recording with the same producer that made their two albums. Here's to hoping the album will turn out different this time.
I kinda thought the production worked on Copecetic It really made shapeshifter too claustrophobic imo
They’ve used the same producer for awhile now. I actually used to play basketball against that dude and his twin brother back in the day lol. totally understand the production criticism though.
I enjoyed Shapeshifter... couple iffy tracks maybe, but solid overall. The majority of the latter half was particularly great. Also noting the “Start The Machine” poster in their studio teaser...
I've really soured on this band after being a big fan when they were first starting up. I'm also hoping for something really special on this record. I know nothing about the situation, but I was really disappointed when they bagged the session they did with Steve Evetts for Shapeshifter. He's such a great producer and did a lot for bands like TWY and Real Friends.
