I don't think they can beat the original version of Conduit. I was blown away by the combination of melody, instrumentation, and production on that song... makes you feel things...
There's not much room for many bands in this vein of music for me anymore as I get older, but instrumentally this kind of music greatly appeals to me as a fun time. They make me nostalgic for the times when albums like this would be monumental to me. Edit: Also, Everyone Lies to Me and Want Me Around are absolute jaaaaams.
Speaking of which, since seeing Knuckle Puck play new songs at warped tour, I finally got around to listening to Shapeshifter and fucking-a is it such a great album. Idk why i took so long to listen to it, but holy shit am I obsessed. The song writing is stronger on this album and the vocals reaaaaalllly shine. On some songs I even get Taking Back Sunday tayf/wywtb-era vibes. Especially with Plastic Brain. I’m very impressed with this album and I dig the length of it. I really would like to hear them get heavier like they did with Everyone Lies To Me. What a song!
I really dig that Homesafe record. Pretty sure I like it more than any KP release. I still haven't come around on like half of Shapeshifter, I think KP hasn't written an album without filler yet IMO.
