it's probably not happening, some person in the tour forum said it was happening and nothing's ever happened and nothing anyone suggested ever made sense it's a 1975 vs counterparts level of chorus meme
Gotcha. Yeah I mean that forum was the place I first heard Letlive. was breaking up, but I'm sure for every one genuine scoop like that there's a bunch of bullshit.
ughggh was listening to Copacetic last night, which I adore!! so exciteeeeed only interesting pop punk band that I know of rn (and maybe Somos (if they get their shit back together)) well ok and Rosenstock (although not a band) but ummm fuuuck yes!!
ugh song is real good - officially pumped for this I do perceieve some growth, maybe not a radical change, but dynamics are interesting production kind of sucks but could be the stream quality? I like their annoying snare sound btw oh and fuck an October release date - it's probably a good Autumn record but fuck these rollouts
Do you know why they were so unhappy with their producer that they went back to Henderson? The production was the worst part of Copacetic so I'm confused as to why they would repeat that for a new record. I guess they probably don't feel that way but I'm curious as to why. Sorry, I know you've worked with them and thought you might have some insight.
There will always be The Blackest Beautiful (even though I love that record). And Californication is truly the worst sounding record I've ever heard. But yeah, Copacetic is incredibly harsh, especially through some bad speakers.
Yeah, TBB does not sound good but I'll definitely take it over Copacetic every time (plus the songs on it are good enough that I'll listen even with that production)
Yeah I don't think it's fair to say they aren't trying anything new on the whole album just yet, even if this one song sounds like only an incremental step from the last album. Looking forward to the record to see what the rest of the songs sound like but this is still solid.
I love this single so much, like yeah it sounds like a KP song at the end of the day, but Nick and Joe sound especially great and that chorus hits HARD. Very excited for the rest of the record, even if it's Copacetic part two it'll be enjoyable.
hahaha it is it's also hilarious that the new one seems to be pushing for even more of everything that made C's production so bad "I don't know, guys - I think we need more compression this time around"
listening again in Spotify it's undeniably KP but it's also a very unique sound - again, the song structures are a lot more interesting than yr average pop punk band, somewhat complex (for this style of music) love the use of what sounds like synths on this and while the production is real bad, there are some peculiar decisions (guitar tone in some sections) that draw me in super hyped for this little record here listen with hphones if you can stand it
This album is better than what the first single might indicate (which has also grown on me in the past few days)
was a huge fan of the ep. didn't listen to copacetic more than once i think. guess i should check it out again.
Last album was really good so I have faith in this. Single is good but nothing special and would have been roughly the fifth best track on the last album imo.
