Yeah, this didn't do much for me. Lonely Island is nice. The rest of these don't grab me at all, which is a stark contrast to most of 20/20.
I actually like the new EP. One of the few "newer" pop punks band I like. The Here's Your Letter cover could've been cool if they Knuckle Pucked it instead of doing a straight forward cover. Made me want to listen to the actual version lol.
This is ok. Really wanted to like the Here's Your Letter cover more. One of my favorite Blink songs but I thought the cover was not great. Don't like the new harmonies they added.
Well, 20/20 is 5 years old today. It's my favourite Knuckle Puck album. Will never forget waiting on the weekly UK government updates of places we could and couldn't travel because of Covid restrictions and booking a holiday to the greek island of Kos the moment they gave the go-ahead. 48 hours later we were on a plane. I listened to 20/20 a lot on that holiday, lying on a beach and staring over the sea to the hills of Turkey and the whitewashed villages perched on them. It's one of those albums that became perfectly meshed with time and place. The themes of breaking out of routine and habit, taking a chance, tuning out the noise of the world and being present in the moment could not have been more pertinent for that one week away from everything. Also, the songs fucking rip. Into The Blue is probably my favourite Knuckle Puck song. I'm not too plugged into the fan consensus on various KP records but looking back it's great to see so many positive comments on 20/20. A lot of media slipped through the cracks a bit during those years but I wanted to mark 5 years of this album because I think it still deserves to be talked about. It's quite possibly their greatest.
20/20 is my favorite of theirs and it’s not particularly close. I think it’s their most solid and coherent effort and I return to it often. Here’s hoping they go back towards this sound in the near future
