All they need is an indie rock band and they’ll have the next iteration of the Turnstile Love Connection tour
Haven’t seen them live, but arguably too much vibing for a show that’ll get rowdy with Danny and KL. Momma or Snarls would be my pick, but my wild card of Beach Bunny would be big enough to match the other two
They absolutely crushed it last night. Speed was my favorite of the bunch but Knocked Loose were on point. It was so fucking hot in the venue. North Carolina got a wall of death at the tail end of the show.
Quick thoughts on the show I just hit up: KL - 10/10, no notes. The guitarist was phenomenal at keeping the crowd pumped up and giving call outs and just making sure everyone was hyped the whole time. A few of my personal faves omitted from the set list, but what they did play all hit hard and it was great production, lights, sound etc. It also helped it was in the newest venue in town and it's just so much better than anywhere else - 'sold out' doesn't mean packed in like sardines, great bar and bathroom access, and top notch tech for the sound and visuals. Speed - Listened to them from the brewery outside the venue. Sounded pretty good but wasn't inside just yet. Loathe - Great sound, some HEAVY bass drops, but I felt their set suffered from long downtimes between songs and too much of the ambient noise and song intros being kept in the live show. It just felt poorly paced and that they could have done more with their time. Show me the body - Sorry, I don't like them on record, and while they were tight / competent and got into some good grooves live, the music is just not for me and the singer had a weird mumbly new york accent and honestly seemed like a total douche. If it's a persona, good for him, he nailed it. Didn't leave the show with any greater appreciation for what they do, but they kept the crowd entertained enough - though there was definitely a divide between those that got it fully, and those that were just nodding along and holding their spot for KL.
I've officially listened to this record front to back 40 times now. It's perfect, AOTY at the moment. Don't Reach For Me is my most listened song of the year, it is a cleansing wave.
Moss covers all and take me home live debut last night which I want to hear those the most off this album
I was just thinking that lol, suppose it was going to happen at some point as the nature of incorporating more songs into a setlist
I’m not mad about it. These last three shows were hometown so it made sense they would do that. Especially when the last two were billed as celebrating the release of the new album. I’m happy I got Poppy for her part.
