Vein.fm Errorzone/This World is Going to Ruin You, Converge's Jane Doe, Slipknot's Iowa, Botch, Underoath's disambiguation
yeah one of the albums where you'll know after listening to one song if this is for you or not. I'd probably just say metallic hardcore with the raw anger/aggression of Slipknot's Iowa if I had to explain it to someone.
not the "ooo ah ah ah ah" part, just the part after it where he goes "ohr ohr! ohr ohr!" but it last for 27 minutes.
The venue just posted my show is about to sell out fuck this is going to be the most insane show I’ve ever seen at the pageant and I’ve seen some crazy fucking shows there
As a native St. Louisian who remembers how packed that wonderful venue gets I just know that pit is going to be rough.
Yeah I’m only gonna run down there for a couple songs if some room opens up lol but I was out at the factory for their set opening for MIW and that huge floor was perfect I got super close
I went home to see some family when the Blind Obedience tour went through and I saw Loathe there. Can attest they rock. I hope more of St. Louis got on the hype train though because it felt like I was the only one going nuts. Also somewhat unrelated but the internet's busiest music nerd just dropped a You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To review. He's wearing a yellow flannel.
I still need to get into Loathe more, listened to their album quite a few times last year and liked it, but didn’t love it.
It's one of the few albums where the whole thing doesn't quite click for me, but the songs that do hit are some of my favorite songs ever. Two Way Mirror would be up there on that list (right behind all the Deftones songs it sounds like).
Always really dug that last Loathe record, but there are for sure parts of it that are far less compelling than the parts where they’re really hitting the gas. I think I even remember in the thread there being talk about how a lot of it was landing like a generic Rise band or something. Record bangs but could probably have stood to be a little more lean - extremely excited to hear what they do next though
