I haven’t been caught up on the knives out side of things since last year. Lionsgate must be pretty mad. Knives Out was one of their highest grossing films outside of the hunger games and twilight series.

With the unlimited budget he has Rian should try and get Tom Cruise as well

 

I’d like to see Rian bring in Adam Driver and work with him again. Him, Daisy or John.

 

Yeah any of the Star Wars cast would be welcome in this. Don't forget KMT, Oscar Isaac, and Domhnall!

I can definitely see him doing this and then making the script meta as hell

 

I listened to an interview with Rian once where he said he usually only writes a script when something really angers or bothers him (if I recall he was saying Looper was his way of dealing with aging and struggling vs the person you become as you age). Looking at the first KO, it's pretty clearly inspired by the fan response to TLJ. If I read too much into TLJ itself it seems like he wrote that in direct response to the nostalgic direction of TFA. This is all a long-winded way of saying I think it's not unlikely he reaches out to some of the Star Wars cast for some very meta roles.

 

I can totally see Norton as a rival detective to Blanc.

 

I’d actually love to see Norton as some silly affable character a la Trooper Wagner
