They shot Daniel Craig's parts in two weeks haha. There are parts without him, though you're right, very few
I imagine a film that mostly takes place in a single, unchanging location takes shorter to film than others
I remember they filmed the car chase in my town. My commute to the train into Boston for work was a nice view into that. Didn't take pics though. Ana and Chris drive past my apartment in that scene.
Finally got around to watching this yesterday. I wish I had watched it before I made my top films of 2019 list.
Did I read somewhere that Don Johnson is Rian’s father? I can’t seem to find it anywhere now but I thought I read that.
This is somehow still playing in my local theater and it’s $6 movie Monday, so I decided to go tonight. I’m excited.
The line about the nazi boy masturbating in the bathroom far and away got the biggest laugh out of me. This was...simpler than I thought it'd be? I tried not to pay attention to the hype in here/anywhere else but was still expecting a bit more of a "woah" than what I got. It was good, I felt some of the clues could've been more subtle. The dogs barking when Evans shows up the first time & the grandmother calling Ana De Armas "Ransom" were a bit too obvious in terms of Ransom having something to do with the entire thing. The puking when lying aspect was too ridiculous for me to really enjoy, and that was like the hinge of the movie. I guess I kinda expected her to be faking it? I don't know. The twist being that there isn't a twist is relatively novel, I suppose, but idk if that's enough for me to enjoy it more than I did. I'll sit on that. Overall, it was fun. Nowhere near my favorite movie of the year but it entertained me and I thought everyone did a nice job.
Damn, can't believe this is coming to digital this week and it still has an outside shot at making $300m world wide if it stays in theaters for a few more weeks.
